On 17 May 2023, the Emeishan Team of the East Branch of the Shanghai Sichuan Chamber of Commerce visited WeCarbon for an in-depth exchange on trends in ESG and sustainability. WeCarbon's founding team and other team members attended the meeting.
The WeCarbon team welcomed the delegation and introduced the company's main business, technology products and core strengths. WeCarbon's founder then gave a talk on "Understanding Sustainability and How ESG Helps Companies Create Value". Against the backdrop of China's sustainability goals, responding actively to ESG requirements is essential to the survival and sustainable development of enterprises.
Guo Zhiwu, Captain of the Chamber's Emeishan Team, gave an overview of the Chamber and the main businesses of the members in the delegation. He noted that small and medium-sized enterprises are the backbone of the national economy, and that the momentum behind sustainability goals and ESG has brought SMEs new opportunities and challenges in investment and financing.
The two sides discussed the meaning and value of ESG and trends in sustainability and ESG. Going forward, they hope to expand cooperation and exchange, connect their respective resources, embrace the opportunities of sustainability, and use ESG to drive new growth in traditional industries for mutual benefit.
