Recently, WeCarbon officially joined the Carbon Neutrality Committee of the China Energy Conservation Association (CECA) as a committee member and a core member of its ESG Service Working Group.

Founded in 1989, the China Energy Conservation Association is a national-level social organisation in the field of energy conservation, registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs. Its work is guided by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and other authorities. With the approval of the CECA Council, the Carbon Neutrality Committee was set up on the basis of CECA's Carbon Trading Industry Alliance. The Committee is a professional body under CECA that serves government and society, enterprises and public institutions, and research institutes. Through research, publicity and training, consulting services, and technology development and promotion, it acts as a bridge between government, industry and business.
The ESG Working Group of the CECA Carbon Neutrality Committee was set up in response to China's national sustainability policy, to help companies with ESG disclosure and rating improvement, and to support the targeted use of carbon emission reduction support tools in areas with significant emission-reduction effects. Its members include consulting firms and other professional institutions, and it carries out ESG policy research, develops ESG evaluation standards, holds an annual ESG summit and conducts ESG interviews and exchanges with companies.
