This year's conference centred on the Glasgow–Sharm el-Sheikh work programme on the global goal on adaptation (GGA) and the Work programme for urgently scaling up mitigation ambition and implementation (MWP). It also featured side events, workshops, round tables and zero-carbon meetings, encouraging young people to notice and take part in climate-related activities around them and inspiring more people to care about and understand climate action.

The round table is a traditional part of the MCCCOP series. In this session, experts and scholars working in environment-related fields and young guests shared their experience and views from their work in ecological and environmental protection. WeCarbon Founder Ms. Remoca Shi spoke on "Climate and Youth", sharing her personal journey through education, work, innovation and entrepreneurship in carbon neutrality and ESG, along with lessons from those who came before her, and offering advice to students interested in carbon neutrality and ESG. WeCarbon Founder Mr. Eric Ma spoke on "Technology Empowering a Green, Low-Carbon Future", presenting the current state and outlook of the carbon neutrality and ESG industry, with a particular focus on "measure, manage, reduce" in tackling climate change: advanced technologies and use cases in carbon monitoring, carbon management and emission reduction in production.

In the Q&A at the end of the round table, the two founders answered questions from the moderator and participants in depth.

The end of the conference is not the end of the discussion. WeCarbon looks forward to meeting again with young professionals working in climate, environment and related fields to discuss the latest developments and trends in tackling climate change.
