Recently, after several rounds of selection, WeCarbon was selected for the COP28 (28th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC) Climate Tech Accelerator. Just 100 climate tech companies were selected worldwide, six of them from China. The selection recognises WeCarbon's expertise and forward-looking work in climate tech.

The Climate Tech Accelerator was jointly launched by the COP28 organisers and New Energy Nexus. As one of the core innovation programmes of COP28 in Dubai, it aims to give 100 climate tech innovators from around the world an internationally influential platform for growth. The programme will help companies build their capabilities, open new channels to capital and find new business opportunities, while further strengthening the global climate tech ecosystem and developing solutions that can be used worldwide.

WeCarbon's founders will travel to Dubai to take part in COP28 sessions and pitch events and to visit local business parks and companies. WeCarbon will also organise and join other COP28 side events in Dubai; details will be announced in due course. Meeting in Dubai, WeCarbon looks forward to working with climate advocates from around the world to advance climate fintech innovation, offer solutions to climate change, help build a green planet where all can thrive together, and show the world China's new green strength.
