WeCarbon and Shanghai EasiPass Open a New Chapter in Cross-Border Green Trade Services

On 27 September, at Shanghai EasiPass's 2024 Autumn Product Launch, themed "Boosting Shipping, Raising Quality; Data Driving New Trade", WeCarbon was named a whitelisted cross-border green trade compliance service provider and launched a Cross-Border Green Trade Compliance Risk Self-Assessment Tool together with EasiPass.

In cross-border trade, new overseas regulations keep emerging, and large supply chain owners have each set their own green requirements, creating challenges for Chinese companies trading overseas. Drawing on forward-looking policy insight, extensive resources and a professional team working across borders, WeCarbon is committed to providing companies with green compliance support, helping them adapt to the environment of global trade, improve financing efficiency, make shipping smarter and make their products greener.

01 At the launch

On 27 September, Shanghai EasiPass held its 2024 Autumn Product Launch, themed "Boosting Shipping, Raising Quality; Data Driving New Trade". Representatives of more than 100 companies from shipping and trade, finance, big data and other sectors came together to see EasiPass's products and discuss new paths for brand building and development.

At the launch, EasiPass officially announced that WeCarbon had become a whitelisted cross-border green trade compliance service provider of Shanghai E-Port. Going forward, WeCarbon will work with EasiPass on cross-border green compliance services for international trade, providing companies with timely, efficient and comprehensive green compliance services and helping them respond to new overseas green regulations.

02 Cross-Border Green Trade Compliance Risk Self-Assessment Tool

At the launch, EasiPass and WeCarbon also jointly released the Cross-Border Green Trade Compliance Risk Self-Assessment Tool. Its built-in green trade policy library covers the EU, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and other countries and regions. Based on the countries and regions a company trades with, its product categories, trade volume and other information, the tool automatically identifies green trade compliance risks and offers professional advice.

The Cross-Border Green Trade Compliance Risk Self-Assessment Tool provides a one-click assessment that precisely identifies the compliance risks a company may face in cross-border green trade, especially in carbon border tariffs such as CBAM, and generates professional analysis and recommendations, so companies can go global with greater confidence in their compliance.

The tool we released with EasiPass uses a short questionnaire to help companies screen new international green regulations quickly and efficiently, identify potential compliance risks in international green trade, and receive recommendations straight away.

Following the launch, you can find our tool on the main online platforms related to green and low-carbon supply chains:

03 Working with EasiPass and partners

Going forward, WeCarbon will work with EasiPass and other partners, connecting key global resources and local teams across application scenarios in shipping, finance, technology and corporate services, to build a "one-stop service and coordination mechanism for cross-border green trade compliance". The aim is to provide companies with precise, efficient and sustainable solutions, help more companies meet cross-border compliance challenges and strengthen their global competitiveness, while promoting the green and low-carbon economy and building a greener, more sustainable future together.
