An international gathering co-hosted by the Qingdao Municipal People's Government and SIEF, the China–Europe Entrepreneurs Forum offers a high-level, professional and practical international platform for the internationalisation strategies and international cooperation of Chinese local governments and quality enterprises. The 2024 forum was held on 21 October at the Shangri-La Hotel Qingdao under the theme "Championing ESG Practice, Advancing the Green Transition Together", focusing on strategies to strengthen companies' sustainability under the environmental, social and governance (ESG) framework.

During the forum, guests including Fu Chengyu, Member of the National Science and Technology Expert Committee for Carbon Neutrality and former Chairman and Party Secretary of Sinopec; Hu Jianhua, former Deputy Party Secretary, Director and President of China Merchants Group; and Jia Shaoqian, Party Secretary and Chairman of Hisense Group, gave keynote speeches. The forum also held a signing ceremony for cooperation projects; the Qingdao SASAC released its "Achievements in Social Responsibility and ESG Development of Qingdao's State-Owned Assets and Enterprises", and an investment promotion session took place.
