On 24 April 2026, during Shanghai Climate Week 2026, New Energy Nexus (NEX) China held the event "Tech Frontrunners: Climate Investment Signals – Real Demand Defines the Investment Compass for the Next Decade" and officially launched Green Engine Accelerator 2026. WeCarbon's China Partner Ms. Mia Zheng attended the launch ceremony.
NEX global ecosystem partners from the United Kingdom, Germany, Singapore and other countries took part, and the results and growth stories of the inaugural Green Engine Accelerator cohort were presented, strengthening the basis for cross-regional climate tech collaboration. As an innovation platform, the Green Engine Accelerator will continue to drive the integration of green technology and artificial intelligence, explore how "Green × AI" can power new quality productive forces, and reinforce Shanghai's role as an "Eastern driving force" in the global green transition.
The event also featured several thematic sessions. Under the heading "Signals for the 15th Five-Year Plan", speakers examined how artificial intelligence and green technology can serve the national goals of the 15th Five-Year Plan, with a focus on the "100 Zero-Carbon Parks" initiative, pathways for zero-carbon parks and commercial real estate to raise the value of green assets, regional coordinated decarbonisation and just transition opportunities in the Climate China Action City Circle (CCACC), and how climate action and ESG disclosure are shaping sustainable investment and financing. The "Guidelines on Climate-related ESG Disclosure for Chinese Parks and Enterprises" were also released at the event, offering a reference for building climate disclosure systems in industrial parks and companies.
Ms. Zheng exchanged views with experts and representatives of industry and investment institutions on these topics. Going forward, WeCarbon will continue to take an active part in building global climate tech innovation networks, drawing on its cross-border green compliance services and AI technology platform to connect ecosystems and contribute to green industrial transformation and climate action.
