On 14 May 2026, the closed-door exchange "New Blue Ocean of the Digital Economy: IP Ecosystems and AIGC Localisation", co-hosted by the Shanghai Digital Public Service Center (Beikechuang), Huliantong United Fund Port and HTJ Consulting, concluded successfully at the Beikechuang Biotechnology Industrial Park. WeCarbon's China Partner Ms. Mia Zheng was invited to attend and gave a talk on "ESG Empowering the Digital Future: New Tracks and Opportunities in European Digital Content amid Global Change".

Structured in three steps, "Situation – Strategy – Opportunity", Ms. Zheng's talk analysed global trends in the digital economy through the lenses of narrative, European strategy, cultural breakthroughs and data sovereignty. She noted that, amid global change, Europe is accelerating a strategic shift towards "self-reliance alongside diversified cooperation", with the digital economy becoming a "new engine" for European growth. She highlighted how well China and Europe complement each other: China has mature AI technology and extensive experience in going global, while Europe has a rigorous compliance system and a high-value consumer market.
The talk paid particular attention to the emerging field of "AI short dramas". She pointed out that China is strong in technology, creativity and industrialised production, while European demand is high but local supply falls short, creating an excellent window for deeper China–Europe cooperation. She stressed that companies should turn Europe's strict ESG compliance requirements from a "cost item" into a "value item", building long-term competitive advantage through rigorous compliance, differentiated content and stronger ESG brand communication, so that "compliance becomes competitiveness".
