On 29 July 2026, the launch of the 2026 Bloomberg Green "Caring Enterprise" list was held at the Shanghai Meteorological Museum. A media platform dedicated to the green economy in China and globally, Bloomberg Green took as its theme "Recalibrating Globalisation through Climate Risk and Social Responsibility", against a backdrop of rising climate risk and profound change in social responsibility, and released its new annual "Caring Enterprise" list. WeCarbon's China Partner Ms. Mia Zheng was invited to attend the launch.

The world is going through a period of multiple, overlapping uncertainties: the geopolitical landscape is being reshaped, the technological revolution is accelerating exponentially, and macroeconomic cycles are compounded by climate risk, creating new challenges for business. At the same time, international market access rules are shifting from "product compliance" to "trusted governance", and the social dimension of ESG has become the foundation of trust for cooperation across cultures and languages. The globalisation of Chinese companies is entering a new phase of "taking value overseas" and "taking governance overseas".

Based on its insight into these shifts, Bloomberg Green released the "Corporate Global Social Responsibility Readiness Assessment Framework" at the launch. The framework covers six dimensions, responsible products and services, community development, employee rights, occupational health and safety, community engagement, supply chain responsibility and related governance mechanisms, with 58 assessment criteria. Drawing on international good practice and regulatory trends such as the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), the EU Forced Labour Regulation (FLR), Singapore's Workplace Fairness Act (WFA), the ISO 26000 guidance on social responsibility and the SA8000 social accountability standard, it quantifies companies' readiness for social responsibility in global operations and helps them turn social responsibility into verifiable international trust assets.

Using this framework, Bloomberg Green systematically collected data on and cross-reviewed hundreds of companies with substantial operations in China and overseas, and selected the 2026 Bloomberg Green "Caring Enterprise" list. Fourteen companies, including Bosch China, Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., Jinko Solar Co., Ltd., Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd. and Swire Coca-Cola (China), were recognised for their social responsibility practices.
