On 25 October, Ms. Zheng Yulin, General Manager of CITIC Futures Shanghai Branch, led a four-person delegation to WeCarbon for talks. WeCarbon's founding team and other team members took part in the meeting.
At the meeting, WeCarbon's founders presented the company's business direction, core strengths and technology products, and CITIC Futures Shanghai Branch introduced its integrated derivatives solutions in the context of carbon neutrality. The two sides held in-depth discussions on business development, pain points around data trust and industry positioning, and brainstormed on ESG investing. They also discussed clients' practical needs and the future opportunities in ESG.
Ms. Zheng said she hoped to explore cooperation with WeCarbon, expand business in ESG investment and financing, manage risk together and give industrial clients comprehensive, one-stop support. WeCarbon's founding team said they would use WeCarbon Cloud as the technical fulcrum to support industrial clients' needs in carbon finance, carbon management and carbon trading, and to connect key information between industrial companies and financial institutions, helping industrial companies access financing more easily while helping financial institutions manage investment risk precisely. The two sides exchanged views in depth on the direction of future cooperation and reached broad consensus. They look forward to drawing on their respective strengths to build a data trust system in carbon finance and to help companies achieve green, low-carbon, high-quality development guided by the sustainability goals.
