Recently, WeCarbon Zhigu (hereinafter "WeCarbon") signed a cooperation framework agreement with China CEPREI Laboratory (the Fifth Electronics Research Institute of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology).

The Fifth Electronics Research Institute of MIIT (China CEPREI Laboratory) is a national-level certification body under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). Founded in 1955, it is one of the longest-established reliability research institutions in China. In sustainability and ESG certification in China, it has a long track record, a broad range of certification categories and recognition from the authorities. Its certification services cover many aspects of green and low-carbon development, including carbon neutrality certification for companies, activities and events, product carbon footprints, carbon labels, energy-saving products, green products, energy-saving audits and greenhouse gas verification. CEPREI is also a key verification body for companies seeking major carbon assets, including China Certified Emission Reductions (CCER) and credits under the UN Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).
As a provider of full-life-cycle, one-stop carbon neutrality management solutions, WeCarbon will draw on its synergy with CEPREI in this strategic cooperation to close the certification loop from "carbon data" to "value realisation". Working together, the two parties can not only help companies efficiently with energy saving and carbon reduction, carbon asset development and green park development, but also obtain certification through CEPREI's national-level platform, and on that basis help companies and parks gain economic value through carbon trading, green loans, green bonds and investment promotion, closing the loop on their green value.
Alongside business cooperation, WeCarbon will also draw on its advanced technical capabilities to support CEPREI's technology R&D and application, research projects and standard-setting. Specifically, the two parties will carry out joint research in areas where WeCarbon has expertise, including green finance, artificial intelligence, climate investment and financing, and automated carbon monitoring. Building on their respective strengths, they will also advance standards in related fields and jointly develop consulting, verification and certification services based on those standards. The two parties will also share resources across sustainability and ESG, and carry out talent development and other professional technical services in these fields.
The signing opens a new chapter of industry cooperation between WeCarbon and CEPREI. Guided by the principle of "resource sharing, complementary strengths, in-depth cooperation and shared development", the two parties will make full use of their respective resources and pursue comprehensive, long-term cooperation, helping more companies achieve low-carbon transition and value creation and building a green future together.
