Recently, WeCarbon's China Partner Ms. Mia Zheng was invited by CIECC Overseas Consulting Co., Ltd. to join the ESG expert pool of CIECC Overseas Consulting Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "CIECCOC").

As a think-tank service institution of the central state-owned enterprise China International Engineering Consulting Corporation (CIECC), working at the front line of economic and social development, CIECCOC provides consulting services to government bodies at all levels, enterprises and public institutions. It has provided specialist consulting for projects such as the plan for the Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone, the feasibility study for the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge, design optimisation for the Hangzhou Bay Bridge, the Taihang Mountain Expressway project in Hebei Province and the master plan for Sanjiangyuan National Park. Ms. Mia Zheng is an expert in sustainable development, ESG and impact investing with more than ten years of cross-industry experience. A graduate of Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) and Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), she is a member of an expert group of the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) and an appointed ESG expert for a vice-ministerial-level NGO and several private equity funds. She currently serves on the CKGSB National Alumni Council and as Deputy Secretary-General of the CKGSB Shanghai Alumni Association. Ms. Zheng has supported a number of government standard-setting projects, including developing an impact investment assessment framework and a five-year climate change strategic investment plan for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and contributing to sustainability strategies for New York City and several multinational groups.
Going forward, the two parties will use this opportunity to draw on their strengths as think tanks, jointly exploring low-carbon, sustainable transformation through ESG in large engineering projects, helping central and state-owned enterprises achieve a green, low-carbon transition, and seeking new developments and opportunities for large engineering projects in ESG.
