In his speech, Mr. Long Yongtu, Co-Chair of SIEF, said that INVESTOPIA and SIEF, as high-level international platforms, effectively connect government, capital and business in China and the Arab world. They have built lasting mechanisms for dialogue and collaboration in areas such as the energy transition, technology cooperation and financial connectivity, and have significantly strengthened matchmaking between Chinese and Arab companies and the integration of their industries. Beyond helping key projects get off the ground, the platforms help China and the Arab world build bridges for the flow of information, investment and talent at a strategic level, giving strong momentum to long-term cooperation in emerging industries and global value chains.

The panellists agreed that China and Arab countries have great potential for cooperation in clean energy such as solar PV, wind and green hydrogen, and should work together on a collaboration model that covers the whole value chain, from R&D to manufacturing and application. Mohamed Abdelqader Al Ramahi, Chief Green Hydrogen Officer of Masdar, said that green hydrogen is at the core of the fifth industrial revolution and that the UAE aims to grow its green hydrogen capacity to a 5% share of the global market, and called for deeper cooperation with Chinese companies on lowering technology costs and scaling up projects. Wu Kai, Vice President of Goldwind, shared the company's experience with a successful China-Arab low-wind-speed wind power project and proposed expanding joint investment into related areas such as energy storage, green ammonia and green hydrogen. Zhou Mingqiang, Chairman of Zhongqing New Energy, presented distributed hydrogen production and low-pressure hydrogen storage technologies and suggested that China and the Arab world jointly advance urban hydrogen operations and end-use demonstration projects. Ni Jun, Chief Manufacturing Officer of CATL, said the company is working with Masdar to build an advanced energy storage system in Abu Dhabi, and stressed that "building a local ecosystem together" matters more than simply building factories.
