On 19 April 2026, the "U20+ Youth Climate Action Summit | Agenda 2035: A Systems Proposal from Gen-Z" was held at the HKUST Shanghai Center. It was co-hosted by Shanghai Climate Week, the Global Climate Academy, The Evergreen Action, UNITAR Prosperity Alliance Shanghai (UNITAR PAS) and the HKUST Shanghai Center, and organised by Seeds United for Nature. Ms. Remoca Shi, Founder of WeCarbon and Deputy Secretary-General of Shanghai Climate Week, was invited to take part in a roundtable, discussing practical pathways for youth climate action with representatives from technology innovation, philanthropy and other fields.

At the roundtable themed "From Ideas to Action: How Youth Can Become Climate Pioneers", Ms. Shi and fellow panellists including Cheng Dong, Zhou Weiyan and Li Lei held an in-depth exchange on practical pathways for youth climate action, mechanisms for cross-disciplinary collaboration and building long-term impact. Ms. Shi noted that young people do not lack ideas; what they need are clear pathways to action, a supportive ecosystem for collaboration and the trust of society, so that they can turn those ideas into lasting, real impact.
