On 26 April 2026, amid the global drive for sustainable development and gender equality, the "Technology Empowerment, Value Co-creation" 2nd Jin Yulan Women's Development Forum was successfully held in Shanghai, and WeCarbon was invited to take part. The forum was held under the guidance of the Financial Affairs Office of the CPC Pudong New Area Committee, with support from the Pudong New Area Women's Federation. It was co-hosted by the Shanghai Climate Week Executive Committee and the Lujiazui Administration Bureau of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, co-organised by the Lujiazui Finance City Women's Federation, the Lujiazui Finance City Chamber of Commerce and the Lujiazui Financial City Council, and supported by organisations including Zhong Lun Law Firm, the International Institute of Green Finance at the Central University of Finance and Economics (IIGF) and the China PE ESG Initiative.

Under the central theme of "Technology Empowerment, Value Co-creation", the forum brought together more than 100 industry guests, business representatives, academics and other participants. It focused on unlocking the diverse value of women's leadership, combining perspectives from different fields, putting sustainability into practice and building momentum for women's development through ecosystem co-creation, to explore new ways for "Her Power" to drive high-quality sustainable development.

Zou Rong, Co-Chair of the Shanghai Climate Week Executive Committee, opened with remarks. He said that "Her Power" has already achieved substantial results in climate action at home and abroad. Shanghai Climate Week has established a year-round "four seasons" programme of climate weeks, working in step with city climate weeks in London, Bangkok, San Francisco and elsewhere, and linking key regions in China such as the Yangtze River Delta, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Sichuan-Chongqing region, building strong momentum for coordinated climate action.

Zhou Haidong, Deputy Director of the Lujiazui Administration Bureau of the Pilot Free Trade Zone, spoke on behalf of the hosts. He noted that Lujiazui Finance City is a core area for building Shanghai into "five centres", home to a diverse range of high-quality industries, including central state-owned enterprises, foreign companies and local state-owned enterprises. Lujiazui Finance City is not only an excellent platform for everyone who wants to build a career or a business, but also a key front for protecting our shared global environment and pursuing green, sustainable development; the rapid growth of the technology industry, he said, always depends on staying true to one's original purpose and on human warmth.
