In January 2026, WeCarbon's China Partner Ms. Mia Zheng was formally appointed a registered expert in the technology evaluation expert pool of the Shanghai Municipality Science and Technology Achievement Evaluation Research Institute, for a five-year term.
The Shanghai Municipality Science and Technology Achievement Evaluation Research Institute is a new type of R&D institution established with the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology. It works to advance the reform of technology evaluation systems and the development of the innovation ecosystem, provides a platform for evaluating and commercialising research results, and uses its expert pool to support the high-quality transfer of scientific and technological achievements.
Going forward, Ms. Zheng will draw on her expertise and experience in sustainable supply chains and ESG to contribute professional insight and practical experience to the commercialisation of green technologies and the sustainable development of industry.
About the Shanghai Municipality Science and Technology Achievement Evaluation Research Institute
The Shanghai Municipality Science and Technology Achievement Evaluation Research Institute is a new type of R&D institution supervised by the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality and registered with the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau, with the support and guidance of the National Center for Science and Technology Evaluation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the China Association for Science and Technology Evaluation and Achievement Management, and the S&T Achievement Evaluation Committee of the China Technology Market Association.
