From 8 to 9 June 2023, the 36Kr WAVES 2023 Conference opened at the Beijing Jinhai Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center. Ms. Remoca Shi, Founder & Executive President of WeCarbon, attended at the invitation of the organisers. An awards ceremony was held during the conference, where Ms. Shi was honoured as one of the "36Under36 Entrepreneurs".

Hosted by 36Kr, the conference set out to bring young founders and investors together in an open, relaxed and worthwhile social setting. Well-known experts, entrepreneurs and investors from across the new economy attended, including Wang Shi, founder of China Vanke; Fu Sheng, Chairman and CEO of Cheetah Mobile; and Dai Yusen, Managing Partner of ZhenFund. Under the theme "The Wave Favours the Young", the conference combined roundtable dialogues with well-known guests with lighter activities such as an outdoor camp, open-air films and live music.

The "36Under36 Entrepreneurs/Investors" list, one of four flagship lists released at the conference, highlights energetic and passionate young people in business who stand out among their peers in thinking, execution and results, as representatives of young entrepreneurs and investors. The honour recognises the innovation and leadership of WeCarbon Founder Ms. Remoca Shi, and will encourage WeCarbon to keep deepening its work in ESG and sustainability and to help build a sustainable future.

About the WAVES Conference
The name WAVES is inspired by the French New Wave film movement and symbolises a young generation that refuses to settle for the status quo and boldly creates a wave of its own. Since 2017, 36Kr has built the "36Under36" list, which focuses on young founders and investors of startups and reflects the creativity and imagination of this era. "WAVES 2023" brought together past 36Under36 entrepreneurs and investors and the wider community of young founders and investors for a venture gathering that combines venture capital, technology and the humanities.
