Recently, the initial list of the Asia-Pacific Young Leaders Programme 2023–2024 was officially announced, and WeCarbon founder Ms. Remoca Shi was selected.
The Asia-Pacific Young Leaders Programme was jointly launched by APEA (Asia-Pacific Entrepreneurs Association) with senior officials of the APEC Business Advisory Council global headquarters, APEC Voices and APEC summit representatives. It aims to identify outstanding young leaders worldwide and bring lasting momentum to the future development of the Asia-Pacific.
After several rounds of screening and review, 123 Asia-Pacific business leaders, young leaders and distinguished representatives were selected for the Asia-Pacific Young Leaders Programme. Among them, Remoca Shi, WeCarbon founder, APEA Executive Committee member, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Climate Week Executive Committee and Secretary-General of its Youth Council, was selected for her outstanding contribution to tackling climate change. The initial list also includes successors to business groups worth hundreds of billions of yuan, founders of US-listed companies, CEOs of unicorns, Olympic champions, well-known producers, actors and singers, and influencers with millions of followers, among other accomplished figures from all walks of life.
Young people are the present and the future of the Asia-Pacific and a core driving force in addressing climate change. Since its founding, WeCarbon has held to its mission of giving companies sustainable momentum and its vision of a green, low-carbon future, and has worked actively to put good practice into action, showing youth leadership in global sustainable development. Going forward, WeCarbon will continue to play its part in driving the green, low-carbon transformation of companies, bringing youthful energy and innovation to sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific.
