Registration is now open for the "Training Programme on Building ESG Committees in Chinese Enterprises", hosted by the Shanghai SASAC Training Center (the "Training Center"), with WeCarbon's China Partner Ms. Mia Zheng as a lecturer. (Earlier post: WeCarbon's China Partner Invited to Lecture at State-Owned Assets Think Tank's "Training Programme on Building ESG Committees in Chinese Enterprises")
Drawing on advanced international experience and the distinctive features and development needs of the Chinese market, Ms. Zheng will give participants a systematic analysis of the core of corporate ESG strategic planning and of practical strategies for implementing ESG. The course will cover how international ESG standards map onto and align with Chinese standards, corporate ESG strategy-setting and oversight mechanisms, building internal ESG rating systems, setting up internal coordination mechanisms, ESG integration and teamwork, and the successful experience of listed Chinese companies in ESG. Combining policy, pathways and practice, it will help companies with ESG system building and sustainable development.
As ESG draws growing attention from Chinese companies, many outstanding companies are putting ESG principles and strategy into practice by reforming their corporate governance structures. On the path of ESG development, WeCarbon keeps a close eye on companies' ESG system building and direction, and is always ready to act as a corporate think tank, helping sustainable development take root across industries and sectors.
