On 25 April 2024, the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the China Democratic National Construction Association and the China Investment and Development Promotion Association hosted the “Wanwu Shengzhang · ESG Her Power Summit” at the Hangzhou International Expo Center, where the “ESG Her Power List” was officially released. WeCarbon was named “ESG Her Power · Role Model Organization of the Year”, and WeCarbon's China Partner Ms. Mia Zheng was named “ESG Her Power · Female Analyst of the Year”.

Rooted in Hangzhou's own innovators and entrepreneurs, the Wanwu Shengzhang Conference brings together entrepreneurial talent from across the Yangtze River Delta and reaches prominent industry leaders, experts, entrepreneurs and investors from China and around the world. It is an innovation and entrepreneurship event with strong brand influence across Hangzhou and Zhejiang Province.

This year, the conference held its eighth edition with a focus on women's leadership, launching its debut ESG-themed summit, the “ESG Her Power Summit”. As an integral part of the conference, the ESG Her Power Summit aims to provide a stage for women's achievements in sustainable development and a cross-industry, multi-sector platform for exchange, in order to strengthen ESG exchange and cooperation among women leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, experts and activists, advance social progress and environmental sustainability, and build a fairer, greener and more inclusive future. The theme of the summit was “Embracing Change and Innovation, Joining Forces to Blossom”.

During the summit, the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA) held the launch ceremony of its ESG Connect ecosystem, with the initial seven organisations from mainland China joining the programme. WeCarbon is one of them, and its Founder Mr. Eric Ma shared concrete ESG cases, analysing in depth how companies can actively contribute to environmental protection and social development while pursuing competitiveness and market share.

In the roundtable, WeCarbon's China Partner Ms. Mia Zheng served as moderator, guiding an in-depth and open discussion with the guests on the topic “Gathering ‘Her Power’ to Drive Sustainable Change”. Ms. Zheng said: “ESG calls for both strategic planning and down-to-earth action. Women are like water, taking on countless forms depending on the shape of the vessel; ESG is the same, taking on many faces across different industries. The two share a natural affinity.”

In the awards, WeCarbon was named “ESG Her Power · Role Model Organization of the Year” for its outstanding performance in ESG and its active contribution to women's empowerment. The award recognised its integrated solutions in ESG financing advisory, ESG investment advisory and carbon neutrality transition strategy, in particular its carbon neutrality technology applications such as the WeCarbon Cloud management platform, which, together with policy foresight and professional services, have effectively helped clients achieve green certification and meet their performance targets. WeCarbon also stood out in promoting women's empowerment, in particular through its concrete measures and results in strengthening women's roles in management and decision-making and in promoting gender equality and women's development.

In the “ESG Her Power Female Analyst” category, Ms. Mia Zheng received the “ESG Her Power · Female Analyst of the Year” award for her talent and insight in ESG analysis, advisory, implementation and training.
