We warmly invite you to the opening ceremony and exhibition on 22 April to see more images that span mountains and seas. They capture the silent protest of bleaching coral reefs and freeze warm moments of interaction between people and nature, from a whale keeping lonely watch in the ocean to wind farms living in harmony with the mountains. We look forward to sharing with you a visual feast on the theme of "Symbiosis". Through the vivid work of young creators, the figures on rising sea levels and the lists of extinct species become, under the gaze of the lens, living parables full of warmth. Shanghai Climate Week was jointly initiated by more than one hundred global ecosystem partners, with support from the United Nations and the Chinese government and participation from government, business, academia and civil society organisations. Set against the backdrop of the city of Shanghai, it is a platform with global reach for exchange and cooperation on tackling climate change.
Guided by its mission of "China's Action, Asia's Voice, Global Standards", Shanghai Climate Week aims to promote multi-level public participation in China's Sustainability commitments, tell the world China's story of climate action, convey Asia's voice on the green transition, strengthen international exchange and cooperation on climate change, and take part in shaping and leading international rules.
