On 10 May, Ms. Remoca Shi, Founder and Executive President of WeCarbon, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Climate Week Executive Committee and Secretary-General of its Youth Council, was invited as an outstanding young representative in sustainable development to attend Expo Global Youth SDGs events. Centred on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the event brought together youth leaders, industry experts and scholars from around the world to offer ideas on tackling climate change and advancing global sustainable development. In the roundtable dialogue, Ms. Shi discussed emerging sustainability topics with guests from various fields. She began by sharing the personal journey that led her to sustainable development. As an entrepreneur who has always explored how to better integrate ESG into both business and society, she believes that the current priority in spreading the ESG concept is to combine ESG principles with today's business products, helping companies realise that ESG is not a cost but a source of value, so that they can truly achieve a win-win of social and economic value.
