On 30 October 2025, the "Forum on Chinese Enterprises' European Strategy under the New Landscape" and CIIE Preview Matchmaking Event, themed "Breakthrough and Win-Win", was held in Yinzhou, Ningbo. The event aimed to bring together the strength of overseas Chinese communities to help Chinese companies expand into the European market and take Chinese products further around the world.
Ms. Mia Zheng, Partner (China) at WeCarbon, ESG expert appointed by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) and ESG expert with the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN), attended the event and delivered a keynote speech titled "Reading the Big Picture: Global Economic and Trade Rivalry and Strategic Breakthroughs for Companies". Taking a global view, she analysed how the international economic and trade landscape is evolving and set out the strategic paths and key considerations for Chinese companies establishing themselves in Europe.

In the roundtable that followed, five experts working in different areas of China-Europe cooperation held an in-depth dialogue on "Focusing on new quality productive forces and opening up new markets in Europe", offering Chinese companies practical guidance on entering Europe across strategic planning, benchmark cases, compliance requirements, support mechanisms and implementation. Ms. Zheng analysed the strengths Chinese companies bring to the European market and the challenges they face, and stressed that telling a good ESG story is not only key to meeting the expectations of the European market but also in line with national policy, and should be an important part of every company's overseas expansion strategy.
